Em 2009 escrevia o "Memórias e Novidades":

"11 de Setembro é,também,a recordação de um Povo,que não se rendeu à destruição e ao medo,a recordação dos sobreviventes,dos bombeiros,dos polícias,de todos os que se entre ajudaram e se apoiaram aos ombros uns dos outros, companheiros na luta pela salvação.
11 de Setembro é a história do Homem Comum,que,colocado perante a opção última,escolhe não se vergar ao medo e à dor,transfigurando-se no herói anónimo que auxilia o próximo,no momento do perigo iminente.
11 de Setembro é a história da vitória do Homem Comum."

Hoje, 11 de Setembro de 2010, recordamos, em especial, os Bombeiros e os Polícias caídos em 2001, que ofereceram o seu bem mais precioso, a vida, em troca da vida de todos aqueles que salvaram.

Todos permanecerão vivos na memória individual e colectiva. Todos, de uma forma ou de outra, estão amalgamados com as pedras, os escombros, o asfalto e o vidro. Todos se tornaram parte da cidade.

Ao passar pelo Ground Zero recordem que os vossos pés pisam terra regada com sangue e lágrimas. Lágrimas de desespero e de derrota, mas, também, lágrimas de esperança, de fé inquebrantável e de vitória!!
